In Athens – and specifically in the southern coastline, the famous Athens Riviera – you will discover a lot of free beaches where you can enjoy the blue waters without an entrance fee. However, you will also find many wonderful organized beaches. From the cosmopolitan Astir in Vouliagmeni to the beaches near Sounio, if a sunbed and a beach bar are among your essentials, these are your options!

Astir Beach, Vouliagmeni

Definitely the most esthetic beach of the Athens Riviera. The iconic Astir Beach promises a unique seaside experience.

Also located in Vouliagmeni, very close to Astir, though it’s much more affordable in terms of its pricing policy.

General Admission: 15 euros | Reduced Fee: 8 euros | Family Day Card (families with 2 children up to 15 years old): 35 euros | Gold Beach upgraded ticket: 65 euros (for 2 adults and up to 2 children up to 15 years old) – online reservations available

Free entrance offered to:

• Children up to 5 years old
• People with disabilities with a disability percentage of 67% or higher and upon producing the relevant documents. The accompanying person pays an entrance fee of 5 euros
• The leader or guide of each group (one person free of charge, per 14 persons)

Lake Vouliagmeni, Vouliagmeni

Located in front of the luxury hotel Divani Apollon Palace & Thalasso in Kavouri, Vouliagmeni. A beach with golden sand, where you can enjoy swimming from early in the morning until the magical sunset.
